Meet our Panel of Judges

Rosemary Shoreman (Roschel Perm.Regd.), Phelpston, ON Canada

Rosemary Shoreman, with her late husband Michael, originally bred Weimaraners and they are now successfully breeding and exhibiting Border Terriers. They have been active breeders and exhibitors in both the show ring and performance events (field dog tests and earthdog tests) under the affix Roschel (Perm Registered) since 1970, a span of 50 years. Both Rosemary & Michael are founding members of the Weimaraner Association of Canada and Border Terrier Canada. They have bred and shown a number of Canadian and United States All-Breed Best in Show, Group and National event winning dogs over the years.

Well versed in all aspects of administrative duties for dog clubs, Rosemary was Show Chair for the 2005 Border Terrier Club of America National Specialty in Eureka, Missouri and has always supported breed clubs and all breed clubs by taking up duties required without hesitation. She was the Secretary of the Weimaraner Association of Canada since inception and for over 20 years. When Border Terrier Canada sought recognition, she was the force behind the formation of the club and took on Presidental duties followed by Treasury duties. Rosemary was the Field Dog Test Secretary for the first Field Dog Tests to be held in Canada while with the Weimaraner Association of Canada and acted as Earthdog Test Chair for the second Earthdog Tests in Canada while with the Border Terrier Club of Ontario. She was the Show Chair for the prestigious Caledon Kennel Association shows for over 8 years, where Rosemary and Michael introduced the Royal Canin National Breeders' Team Classic. This event was very successful and still carries on to this day.

Rosemary Shoreman is a popular and respected All-Breed Judge who judges internationally. Mrs. Shoreman has judged extensively in Canada, the United States and around the world, including Venezuela, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Sweden, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Argentina, Japan and China. Rosemary has judged at prestigious shows such as Westminster, Palm Springs, Hatboro, Greenwich in the United States and Royal Shows (Australia). She has judged regional and national breed specialties, including futurities, in Canada, the U.S. and Australia for Weimaraners and for Border Terriers here in Canada.

Lotus Tutton, (Fairewood Perm Reg'd) Creemore ON Canada

In the early seventies Lotus began her journey into the world of showing and breeding first with Airedale Terriers and then with Norwich Terriers with the Fairewood prefix.
The Fairewood Airedales and Norwich proved themselves both in the ring and whelping box with multiple generations of best in show winners in Canada and the United States as well as Europe.
Of special note was Ch Fairewood Frolic, Best In Show Montgomery County Kennel Club, Top Dog All Breeds in the United States, 1997, and Best In Show Westminster Kennel Club 1998.

Travel and Airport Information

We always say that getting there can be half the fun and our site for this years Specialty is located on the beautiful Long Sault Parkway

Easily accessible from Canadian points East and West as well as being a short hop from the United States

For those unable to make the road trip, there are flights into Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport located approximately 75 minutes from our show site and host hotel

In the interests of camaraderie and good sportsmanship, we encourage those travelling by car or RV to consider squeezing in an extra chair or crate or grooming table for those who must miss out on so much of the fun and fly in

Border Crossing: A valid rabies certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada.
To (re)enter the U.S. the rabies certificate must be dated at least 30 days prior to the date of crossing unless you have proof of continuous vaccination.
As requirements in respect to puppies have changed, we recommend verifying with the following web sites when planning your trip:
bringing a dog into Canada
bringing a dog into the US
